Whether it’s about personal development, improving collaboration within or between teams, or strengthening soft skills, UGURU can help.
No, not at all! We think coaches are very useful, but you don’t always need an expensive, external coach. Coaches are necessary when you get stuck, but you don’t always get stuck, do you? In most cases, you yourself have all it takes to grow. What we don’t believe in is self-help, because learning requires the perspective and support of others. That’s where your homegroup comes in. Because you no longer depend on an external coach, your sense of autonomy, self-confidence, and ownership increases, making every change more sustainable.
Over the past 15 years, we have coached thousands of teams and individuals in the corporate world. However, no matter how hard we tried, we only seemed to reach the relatively small group at the top. We wanted more impact! That’s why in 2020 we embarked on a mammoth task: we poured all our knowledge, experience, and best practices into self-directed programs, without the need for a coach. Meanwhile, over a 1000 gurus have completed our journeys, and through their positive feedback and success stories, we know that it works.
Absolutely. Peer learning has been scientifically proven to be effective: participants are more active and feel more engaged, and develop soft skills such as communication, giving and receiving feedback, collaboration, and empathy. While science has long been aware of this, UGURU is the first to implement peer learning programs on a large scale in the corporate world. And it is also the first company to demonstrate that peer learning is just as effective at the top of a company as it is at the entry-level.
It’s highly likely that after completing a journey, you’ll develop a taste for it and want to keep learning. UGURU makes it possible. We offer the option to continue your learning journey with your existing homegroup or join a new one. You can browse the menu and book one or more sessions to create a personalised follow-up program that suits your needs. With new SESSIONS added regularly, UGURU ensures that your homegroup always has access to fresh and engaging content to keep learning year after year.
Traditionally, courses and training are organised in one- or two-day sessions. But no matter how brilliant such a session is, the insights fade after a few weeks. Development is a process, not a single momentum. That is why our programs are divided into five short stages, spread over a period of eight months. A JOURNEY takes about four hours per month.
